A. Stock List Overview
Inventory > Stock (/inventory/stock) lists stock pools (inventories) — logical stock groups inside warehouses — not individual SKU lines and not warehouses themselves.
From the warehouse hub you can also open Setup or jump into a warehouse’s pools.
B. Viewing Stock Pools
Typical columns:

Open a pool row to see:
Overview
Name, code, warehouse link, status, timestamps.
Policies
| Policy | Description |
|---|---|
| Allow negative stock | When off, quantities cannot go below zero |
| Require approval for adjustments | Adjustments may stay pending until approved |
| Require approval for transfers | Transfers may need approval before they complete |
Items
Table of inventory items in this pool (product/SKU, on hand, available, reserved, low-stock flags). Open a row for Stock Item detail.
Actions often include: add/create item, open Inventory Setup, barcode scan.
Operations
The Operations card on pool detail is Create transfer only (source pool prefilled). Adjustments, requisitions, and pick lists start from item detail → Operations (pool + SKU locked).
Storage / bins
Links or summaries for physical locations (bins/shelves) related to this pool. Initial placement can be chosen in Setup or on item create. Bins may attach to a warehouse zone.
D. Creating Stock for a Catalog SKU
Inventory Setup Wizard
Inventory > Setup — seven steps: Location → Storage → Bins → Catalog item → Stock details → Review & create → Allocate bins. See Overview — Setup.
From Product Catalog
On a product item (SKU) detail page, use Create inventory item to open the stock item form with product/SKU prefilled; choose the stock pool on the form.
Stock item form
Same field set as Setup Stock details: quantity, levels, cost, tracking, dimensions, supplier, optional bins.
E. Understanding Stock Policies
Allow Negative Stock
Keep disabled unless you intentionally track negatives/backorders.
Require Approval for Adjustments / Transfers
When enabled, documents stay pending until approved; when disabled, effects apply according to the operation’s rules.
F. Next Steps After Create
- Open the new stock item detail.
- Optionally allocate or move quantity across bins.
- Print a placard if needed.
- Use adjustments, transfers, and requisitions for ongoing movement.
- Watch merchant dashboard low-stock and expiring-soon alerts.
